Purchasing a pair of Ugg boots is an investment in comfort and quality! With the right amount of care and protection, our genuine sheepskin boots will last you between five to twenty years! Let us help you with our tips and tricks on finding the ideal size for you. There's nothing quite like a pair of perfect Ugg boots.
When you've made the decision to purchase a pair of Ugg boots or slippers, please read the Size & Fit tab on the appropriate product page. Our sizing varies depending on the style.
Sizing for Ugg Boots
Upon first wear, your Uggs should feel quite firm and tight. Your toes should be close to the tip of the boot without curling. Make sure that they do not slip at the heel when you walk. It is common that people will say their Uggs feel 'too small' upon initial try-on, thinking that they should be purchased bigger so that there is room to move around. Don't be fooled! The wool compresses with weight and will begin to mold to the shape of your feet when you wear them in. The suede exterior will also give a little the more you wear them, as a result of the natural sheepskin properties. They should stretch around half a size. This is part of the beauty of Ugg boots and why they are so comfortable! They have the ability to mold around around your feet in all the right places.
Sizing for Ugg Slippers
Slippers are not really that true to size, due to their open back. This gives our foot a little bit more 'wiggle room'. Without the reinforcement, slippers and slides generally feel slightly bigger than a boot of the same size. We typically advise customers to size down from their regular shoe size when purchasing our sheepskin slippers.
Using Our Ugg Size Chart
We use unisex sizing for our boots and slippers. We encourage you to check out our men and women's conversion charts below to find your US, EU and UK shoe sizes for reference.
Your freshly purchased sheepskin boots should be a snug fit. As you continue to wear them, the wool will adjust to the shape of your feet and the A-grade sheepskin will stretch around half a size.
If you're not sure of your usual shoe size (or just want to make sure you are 100% on your size choice), you can measure your foot from the top of your longest toe to the back of your heel. After you've measured, refer back to our size chart to see which size corresponds best with your foot length. Alternatively, download our At-Home Size Guide to see for yourself!
Tips for Measuring Your Feet
Measure your feet in the late afternoon, as they tend to swell at this time of the day. Many people also have one foot slightly larger than the other! Ensure you measure both your feet and choose the size that fits the larger of the two.
Wearing Your Uggs
Genuine Ugg boots are meant to be worn without socks. Wool will naturally wick away moisture and allows air circulation to keep your feet dry. If you prefer to wear socks, select cotton socks or another natural fibre. You can read more about this here.
